LUDIC Orpheus 2x4m

LUDIC Orpheus 2x4m

439.00

The Orpheus loudspeaker cable, constructed symmetrically with two conductors, has a multicore internal conductor structure covered with cotton braid, each with a cross section of 2,289 mm² and is very low resistance which is very important if you look for a good cable (see also below this page about explanation about resistance, ohm, length and thickness from the cable you need.

made of pure copper with OCC®-Evolve.current.OCC technology (oxygen-free copper) and a material purity of 99.9999%.

The Orpheus loudspeaker cable has a double shielding, the shielding is made with aluminum foil and tinned copper braid.

The Mantel is high quality black cotton fabric with silver accents. 8.0 ± 0.5mm

The connectors are 24 carat gold-plated plugs, the banana connectors and spades (both versions included), the housing is made of brass, nickel-plated, then lacquered in pearl silver.

The contact surfaces of the banana connectors and spades are coated with corrosion-resistant 24-karat gold for loss-free transmission.

The Ludic stability over molding technology (L.S.O.T) is used for the perfect containment of the solder processing zones, which integrates multi-part housing sleeves against harmful environmental influences such as oxygen and mechanical strain relief for maximum protection.

The really important things to watch out forLet us have a breakdown of the tech
-Low resistance.
The Ludic Audio loudspeaker cables have a sufficiently low resistance.
There are plenty of big cables out there, but how much of that do you really use?
For 8 Ohm speakers, you should aim for 0.4 Ohm or lower.
With cable lengths of up to approx. 5 meters, this can easily be achieved with a cable with a core cross-section of 0.5 mm2!
With longer cables it is wise to use a heavier cord, eg 0.75 mm2 or even better 1.5 mm2.
With 4 Ohm speakers you have to use the double cross-section.

The importance of low resistance comes into a curious light when you consider what the usual crossover filters in the speaker cabinets can mess up.

So don’t be fooled into thinking that thicker is always better..!
if you are already driving on a highway with 5 free lanes, and you add another 5 lanes, you will not reach your destination faster!! same with the signal to your speaker!! Thick enough is thick enough!
Start at the required cable length, then go straight up until you get to the desired resistance. Then go right to a blue cutting line of the next thicker cable.
